TSA Approved Locks- Why are they important?
The US Travel Security Agency (TSA) and Her Majesty’s Revenues and Customs (HMRC) maintain the right to open any case, even if it is locked. If the traveller uses a NON APPROVED LOCK it will be clipped and discarded. If the lock is TSA APPROVED the security officer will have a master key that allows them to open the TSA APPROVED lock, and inspect the luggage. Once they have completed the search they will then relock the bag, this will keep the luggage secure and the lock can be used again. All Safe Skies® Luggage Locks are TSA approved and carry the red touch to alert security officers that our locks can be opened and re-locked.
